Jane Ellen Wayne is a Hack!!

Why would anyone want anything by this hack writer who is obssessed with Robert Taylor?? She wrote a book on Stanwyck back in the 1980s and it was schlock, full of errors and obviously meant to degrade and besmirch Stanwyck's name. Jane Ellen Wayne has no shame and if she can dare ask how one can review a book one hasn't read, well, the answer to that is: Just read ANY book by this hack and you will know how one can review a book without having read it. She gets all her sources from the tabloids, she doesn't have any primary sources to back up her ridiculous tabloid style of writing. Avoid anything by this woman at all costs. The GREAT BARBARA STANWYCK deserves better than anything by this evil, demented woman. The definitive STANWYCK biography has yet to be written and when and if it is written, it will NOT be Jane Ellen Wayne who wrote it!!

She made Stany look like a bitch

I am not to sure that this lady knew Stany, but some of her facts are wrong. She made Stany look like a bitch, and sided with Robert Taylor. It is interesting reading, but everything I read about Barbara is nothing like she said she was.

Is this woman self-published? It's the only explanation for how her work sees the light of day

I'm just going to paste the review I wrote for the first edition of Wayne's so-called bio of Stanwyck because I can't be arsed to write anything else for this horrid book and its horrid author. If anything, this edition is worse because Wayne's vitriol is full blown; I must give her a little credit for not even bothering this time around to mask her irrational hatred for Stanwyck. So here's what I wrote in the other review...
I only give it one star because it has to be rated something, if possible I would give it -57 stars. Jane Ellen Wayne is a hack and hated Stanwyck with a passion. She fancied herself Robert Taylor's one true love (I'm surprised she loved his second wife considering she took Wayne's cherished fantasy away). The only people who would like this book are diehard Robert Taylor fans, as he comes out smelling like a rose (or at least that's what his fans probably think; they don't seem to realize that Wayne does his reputation more harm than good by completely overlooking his character flaws). If you enjoy this book and think it's good and/or fair, reevaluate your life.
